Slinky Malinki's 25th Birthday Celebrations
We have been very busy creating lots of different artworks based around Lynley Dodd's Slinky Malinki.
We have been enjoying listening to her stories and have tried writing our own Slinky Malinki stories too.
What is your favourite Lynley Dodd story and what is your favourite character?

Matariki Art
Come into our classroom and look at our wonderful Matariki display. Read our stories, look at our art work and find out what we have learnt.
The Junior school children have learnt a lot about Matariki over the past few weeks. Do you have a question you would like to ask us about Marariki?

Tangaroa's Gift
A few weeks ago we read the story 'Tangaroa's Gift'. It was about a sad a lonely sea creature called Paua. Mighty Tangaroa, the God of the sea, felt sorry for Paua and decided to give him a very special gift. We looked at the themes in the book, which were relationships, feelings and inner beauty. We used the story as inspiration for creative dance and for art. Below are some of our art.
