Science - Drops on a coin

Today we did a science experiment.  We had to make a prediction (have a guess) about how many drops of water we might be able to put onto a coin. Next we took a 10 cent coin, a dropper and some water and carefully dropped water onto our coin.  We tried this several times to see who could get the most drops onto their coin. We noticed some really interesting things.

Spiders

We try to use our sound cards and word banks to help us write some words correctly. We are learning how to carefully listen and record the sounds we hear in tricky words.

Here is her follow up work to the book Pigs Might Fly!, that we read as a class earlier in the week.
She spent the entire reading time expressing her delight in this story by drawing and writing.

Can you guess what these children want to do?
I wonder what you will do?

Independent writing

The younger children in the Junior Room have been working hard at listening and writing the sounds they can hear in words independently. Today we focused on recording the sounds quickly that we heard in some cvc words.
