This is my homework. Mum took these photos of me. I am getting worm juice from our worm farm and adding water to it to feed my strawberry plants. I love helping in the garden to grow things we can eat.

Tiddler Stories
We have been reading stories by Julia Donaldson.
We really enjoyed the story about ‘Tiddler’ the story telling fish. Tiddler was always making up stories to explain why he was late to school.

We Love Baking!!!!!!
Today Room 6 was turned into a bakery. We made some yummy Gingerbread men to share with our Room 5 and Room 7 friends.
They were delicious!
They were delicious!
While the Gingerbread men were cooking we did some practical measuring tasks. We used Gingerbread men pictures to measure the height, length and width of objects around our classroom. We had to make an estimate (a guess) before we measured.
Just for fun - have a look at what these Gingerbread men are up to....
The Gingerbread Man
This week we have been reading the big book 'The Gingerbread Man'. Click on the picture below to read some different endings to this well know traditional tale.
Giingerbread Man Song
Gingerbread Is Fun to Make
Gingerbread is fun to make
It's sweet and brown and yummy.
When you put it in your mouth,
It ends up in your tummy.
Gingerbread is fun to make,
Gingerbread is yummy.
Never let it run away.
Just put it in your tummy.
Gingerbread is fun to make,
You stir and mix and beat it.
But if you let it run away.
You'll never get to eat it!

Jack and the Beanstalk
We have been reading lots of fairytales this term. Last week's big book was 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. We wondered how the story might have changed if Jack had swapped his cow for something other than beans. We brainstormed lots of different ideas and then began writing new stories. Click on the book below to read different endings. We have 'Jack and the Magic Shoes', 'Jack and the Magic Carpet', 'Jack and the Magic Wand, and many more exciting twists to a well known story.
