  1. Hi room 6. I had spotted Charlie holding a pencil in his right hand in the 1863 photos and I wondered why he was doing that - as he is left handed. Thank you for explaining that in 1863 children who were left handed got the cane for using their left hand. I am really pleased that doesn't happen now. What do the left handed children in the classroom think, are they happy they can use their left hand and not get in trouble?
