Hi room 6. I had spotted Charlie holding a pencil in his right hand in the 1863 photos and I wondered why he was doing that - as he is left handed. Thank you for explaining that in 1863 children who were left handed got the cane for using their left hand. I am really pleased that doesn't happen now. What do the left handed children in the classroom think, are they happy they can use their left hand and not get in trouble? Nikki
