Making careful observations

This week Jackson shared a science experiment that he had conducted at home. We thought it sounded exciting so we are conducting the same experiment at school.
Scientists start with a question. Our question is 'Can you make an egg bounce?'

Scientists ask lots of questions. They are patient and look carefully at their experiment to observe what happens. They notice changes and predict what might happen next.

We put one egg is a cup of water and another egg in a cup of vinegar. We watched carefully to observe any changes.

We are going to observe the changes that happen over the next 7 days.
What do you think will happen to the eggs?

  1. How exciting to see all of Jackson's class doing the egg experiment. It is fun to watch the changes in the egg, what egg do you think will change....the egg in vinegar or the egg in water? I look forward to checking out your eggs and what results you get. Jackson's mum Lisa.
