We are not sure how much we have raised altogether but it will be counted next week and we'll let you know.

Kiwi made of coins
Today we had a coin trail to raise money for the 'Save the Kiwi' appeal. We had planned on drawing a big kiwi on the netball court and getting each class to add their coins to it, but unfortunately it was pouring with rain. We came up with another plan......each class had a picture of a kiwi to cover with coins. This is our class kiwi made of coins.

Save Kiwi Week
This week is the first ever ‘Save Kiwi Week'. Kiwi numbers are rapidly declining, with 95% of kiwi dying in the wild before they’re old enough to breed. We will lose kiwi from our forests in our lifetime if we don’t act now!
This Friday we will be having a coin trail to help raise money to save our national bird. We will be drawing a large kiwi on our netball court and ask that children bring along silver or gold coins to lay on our trail. Please help save our national bird.
