In Maths this week we are looking at patterns in the world around us. Today we went on a hunt for symmetrical objects. We looked for objects that had lines of symmetry. We discovered that we can use a vertical line (up and down) or a horizontal line (left to right) to divide objects into two matching pieces. We also discovered that some shapes have many lines of symmetry.
What a wonderful way to learn about the word symmetry. I don't remember when I was at school using that word. Exciting the way you learn now with all the experiments. Enjoy this term everyone.
