Tiddler Stories
We have been reading stories by Julia Donaldson.
We really enjoyed the story about ‘Tiddler’ the story telling fish. Tiddler was always making up stories to explain why he was late to school.

Super Writing
Ameile found a bird's nest when we were training for the cross country. Today we looked at some video clips of birds making their nests. We think they are very clever.

We Love Baking!!!!!!
Today Room 6 was turned into a bakery. We made some yummy Gingerbread men to share with our Room 5 and Room 7 friends.
They were delicious!
They were delicious!
While the Gingerbread men were cooking we did some practical measuring tasks. We used Gingerbread men pictures to measure the height, length and width of objects around our classroom. We had to make an estimate (a guess) before we measured.
Just for fun - have a look at what these Gingerbread men are up to....
The Gingerbread Man

Jack and the Beanstalk
We have been reading lots of fairytales this term. Last week's big book was 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. We wondered how the story might have changed if Jack had swapped his cow for something other than beans. We brainstormed lots of different ideas and then began writing new stories. Click on the book below to read different endings. We have 'Jack and the Magic Shoes', 'Jack and the Magic Carpet', 'Jack and the Magic Wand, and many more exciting twists to a well known story.

All About Me Posters
We have been finding out about each other. Our 'All About Me' posters tell our class mates a few things about ourselves:- our favourite colour, food, sport and animal. We have found out that many of us like the same things. We are going to create a pictograph to share our findings. Keep an eye on our blog to see what we found out.
